FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Tampa Company Helps Feed Millions In Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic partners with Tampa company to build "mobile kitchens" to feed displaced flood victims.
Tampa, FL, November 09, 2009 — When a newly instituted Government program in the Dominican Republic needed to build mobile kitchens to feed millions of its people, WorldWide Trailer Sales, Inc. was commissioned for the task. Officials from the Commedores Economicos del Estados Dominicano will be here to inspect the last five of twenty eight "mobile kitchens" that are being used for food preparation and distribution throughout the country where emergency relief is needed.
In the past year, the Dominican Republic has had several severe storms and flooding, which has left millions homeless and without food. President Leonel Fernandez (DR) and Administator General Nicolas Calderone (DR) , put together a plan to bring food to those most affected by the natural disasters and state of emergencies. They contacted WorldWide Trailer Sales, Inc., to construct completely self-sufficient kitchens that could be transported throughout the country, and meet their high volume cooking demands.
In June 2009, the first of twenty-eight "mobile kitchens" arrived in the Dominican Republic to provide immediate relief for the devastated communities. Pres. Fernandez (DR) stated "the government will now be more efficient in their response to natural disasters and emergencies." During the ribbon cutting ceremony he explained that each one of the new mobile kitchens would serve up to 1000 plates of food per hour, and will provide a much needed hot meal to its citizens.
Worldwide Trailer Sales, Inc. is a Tampa, FL based company that custom builds concession trailers and mobile kitchens for a variety of markets.
